The North Santiam School District (NSSD) recognizes the important role that volunteer service provides in support of the education of our students.  We encourage and welcome your interest in serving as a volunteer. All of the District schools have many areas and/or ways in which your strengths could enhance the educational environment for students.  In order to protect our students, all volunteers must complete the background check process at least two (2) weeks before the event and be cleared through the Human Resources department before serving as a volunteer.

Currently, the vaccine requirement is still in effect for school staff and volunteers as per OAR 333-019-1030. Volunteers must provide proof of vaccination or receive a medical or religious exception during the submission process. 

New! We have transitioned to an online application process.  Before beginning, please make sure you have a photo of your COVID Vaccination card or take a photo of one of the completed Exemption forms (Medical / Religious), as these will be required to complete the volunteer process.
